Chicago Honey Co-op Brings Local Honey to the Windy City

Now more than ever, we all want to support small businesses with a focus on sustainability. One organization you may want to keep an eye out for is the Chicago Honey Co-op. This local non-profit and agricultural cooperative is made up of about 20 locals who have a passion for bees and the environment. Through education and safe, sustainable beekeeping, they’re making an impact on the city of Chicago and beyond!

One way to support their mission is to purchase all the wonderful products they make from the beeswax and honey harvested from the three hives around the city. You can find fresh, raw honey, beautifully printed beeswax food wraps, handcrafted beeswax candles, and gift sets that combine all of these special items that tell a story and support local sustainability and business. You can find them throughout the summer months at the Green City Market and Logan Square Market so mark your calendars and don’t miss out. If you want to get involved in a different way, check out their beginner beekeeping classes and learn a new skill!
