There’s no better place to spend March 17th than in Chicago. St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago is well-loved thanks to our city’s Irish heritage and love for this holiday. Luckily, The Sinclair is in the middle of all the action. Here’s what you can get up to this St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago.
Get Your Green On at Hopsmith Tavern
Just down the street from The Sinclair is one of the city’s hottest Irish bars. This St. Patrick’s Day, enjoy two floors of fun, Irish food, video DJs and more. Buy tickets for $30-$600 here. Hopsmith Tavern is a four minute walk from The Sinclair.
River Dyeing & Parade
Two of the most iconic traditions to take place on St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago are the river dyeing and parade. This year, the dyeing will commence at 9 a.m. on March 17. The river dyeing is best viewed from the East side of Michigan Avenue, the West side of Columbus Drive, or upper and lower Wacker Drive between Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive. The parade is set to begin at noon and starts at Balbo and Columbus. A parade viewing stand will be located at Buckingham Fountain, which is a 19 minute metro ride from The Sinclair. If you can’t make it out to see the parade in person, you can catch it on ABC Channel 7. For more information, click here.
Butch McGuire’s
Have a chilled out evening at local Irish bar Butch McGuire’s. Indulge in Irish cuisine and pub food here. Be sure to order up a Guinness to really get in the spirit of the holiday. Butch McGuire’s is a four minute walk from The Sinclair.
